Alright
so I agree something needs to be done about guns falling into the wrong hands,
but I still to this day do not understand how these people come to the
conclusion that imposing more restrictions on and fees on the law abiding citizen
does this. I don’t even see where they are strengthening penalties on people
who break said laws. Hey I have an idea, how about actually leaving the people
who commit crimes in JAIL. Stop giving prisoners early release time and time
again like this is some sort of high school work program. I live my life
believing there are consequences to my actions and that I’m solely responsible
for those actions. When I do something that has a negative consequence, I accept
those consequences.
People
today seem to have been told they are something special for far too long by
mommy and daddy. Mommy wiped your little bottom and told you it wasn't your
fault, and daddy bought you whatever would shut you up. I've watched this in
person and I've watched those people drink and drive, when they got caught it wasn't their fault, it was the cops fault for not letting them go. I've seen
people who robbed a convince store try to explain to me how it’s everybody else’s
fault that they are career criminals. People with an extensive record of
assaults, burglaries, and drug offenses, who are in their mid 20’s who are
still being arrested. Please explain to me how on earth this happens, you enter
our judicial system when your 18, you finally end up in court when your 19. So you
end up on probation for anywhere from 2 years to 5. You fail that when you
ooooh let’s say he was one of the better ones 20 years of age. SO now you have
the term your on probation for generally 2-5 years, and your new offense let’s
make it a small one 1 to 3 years. THAT’S 3 to 8 years people, and it takes 6
months to a year before you’re even in court for this. That’s 21 years old, and
only two offenses. With 3 to 8 years’ worth of jail/prison time you shouldn't even have time to commit more offenses before your 25! PLEASE explain this to
me. PLEASE explain to me why you’re putting more restrictions on me instead of
trying to put this person in prison or jail! You want to “Stop the killing”?!?!?!?
try using your head, it doesn't work anywhere else try something different.
Maybe you should start with the ones that have been causing deaths years, how about
you focus on one problem at a time, like the fact you can’t even seem to
enforce the laws you have or at least the penalties for the laws you have.
I’m
tired of new laws on the law followers, and less follow through on the ones who
break them. Please stop penalizing me because you feel sorry for the guy who’s
been in prison for 5 years because he robbed and raped the grandmother down the
street. No I don’t think he should ever be let back into society. But I don’t
make the laws, a judge or a jury would be the one to decide how long he goes
away and if his sentences are served consecutively or concurrently.
I don’t
know how many people know this but here in Texas if your convicted of Driving
While License Invalid you are subsequently
committing a Class A Misdemeanor in which your car will be towed *unless there
is a driver in the vehicle with a valid license* and you will be arrested. The supposed
punishment for this crime is, a fine of no less than $100 and no more than $500,
confinement for up to 180 days in county jail, or both confinement and fine. If
for some reason you never acquired your driver’s license in the State of Texas
you’re written a traffic citation and sent on your way as long as you have
insurance on your vehicle, no matter how many times this occurs. I think that’s
odd.
I think
some people need to take a step back from the situation and actually observe
what’s going on with some facts brought to their attention, such as “Gun Free
Zones” don’t work, criminals will get guns/weapons no matter what you do just
ask Great Britain, The Second Amendment was not for hunting and has nothing to
do with hunting it has everything to do with protecting yourself from a tyrannical
government. I’d suggest people who are sworn to uphold the constitution do a
little home work.
Lastly,
no I will not compare our president to any sort of dictator that eventually came
to rule nations with iron fists, and political charisma, he’s not. He’s the
President that was elected to serve the United States of America. Though I didn't vote for him nor do I agree with his politics, I think he’s doing what he and
his constituents believe are right for the American people. That being said I
think we are on a slippery slope, and we could be heading the way of Russia and
Germany. The first thing that happens generally is the banning of weapons. I’ll
leave you with a couple thoughts that bother me from time to time.

Why do you need to be able to question your government, aren't there here so
serve you?

How many religions does one country need?
Third: What
are you going to do if 3 people kick in your door right now with ill intent?
