The Media Sux

Ok so I've almost crossed the entire state of Texas in one day. I think I missed it by like 200 miles, not to mention the 900 miles through New Mexico on the back of a motorcycle. Yep vacations rock. There is no doubt that I needed that time away from work, in fact I've been a tad grouchy since I've gotten back. I think it'll pass in time, was well as the skin still peeling from my nose. I think it's rather funny the part of my exposed skin that I put sun screen on got burnt and is still peeling, my arms...well they are just as golden brown as could be. I think I'll skip the sunscreen next time... Anyway I'm all back and refreshed.

Lately the Media's been in a frenzy about the latest Hurricane, excuse the L337 speak for asec but this is my reaction "OMFG you R-Tard's!" Really, REALLY!?!?!? it's a Catagory 1 hurricane. Yes, I realize Hurricane's are bad for the coast. Yes, I realize people along the coast should probrably board up thier houses and leave for a couple days. This does not mean you should be telling people in North Houston to "CHECK YOUR DAMN EVACUATION ROUTE EVERY 20 MINTUES!" I've really needed to get this off my chest for the past couple days. They evern showed the Galvestion Beaches, and all I have to say is, it's no wonder we have so many people with anxiaty issues. They probrably watch the news. The new people are the ones that tell you "watch for flying debri if your caught in a hurricane" no really don't watch for it RUN run for f'n cover don't look back don't stop to say "hey that 2x4 could fly up and hit me I think I'll zag or zig", no get your silly ass inside somthing sturdy. It's really not as difficult as most make it, let me show you.

Step A: Your in a dangerous spot, and you have identified this.
Step B: Identify a safe spot.
Step C: Go there.

Yes, it really is that simple. Trust me, someday you'll have to stop over thinking everything and act. I know, I know it's not that simple and I really don't understand. Whatever you say. Believe it or not, I do understand. I refuse to let somone else convince me that I should be afraid. Which seems like all the media does, spread fear that is. Sure there's useful stuff in the news, they just make it so dang hard to find it. They are too busy telling you that eggs are bad for you again or that bacon is the devil. mmmm bacon devil...it's a yummy devil though. Message of the day: Media-bad, Common Sense-good.

Just a little tid bit for your enjoyment.
