Nature Calling, Don't Answer.
Ok so I'm feeling a tad sick and morbid again, flippin through Wired News and I came across this. Bout some folx who want to end the effects of ageing. I'm no green peace, tree humper....I promise the splinters really get to me. On the other hand I do believe there is a natural order to things. Birth, taxes, death, and pretty much in that order. Have you ever noticed that the more advanced science gets the nastier the diseases that pop up? Don't get me wrong I'm not saying don't advance medicine. What I am saying is there truly is a point where you need to keel over and die, partly cause your an asshole, the other part OVER POPULATION! I don’t care if we start going to other planets we are going to over populate at some point. This is a bad thing.
Ok picture this we make a trip to Mars, and damn it just won't work out. Well shit, we already figured out how to keep people from dieing. Oh shit, they won't stop screwing......EVER. What exactly do we do with all the people? I haven't a clue there is only so much surface area per planet, even if you build cities under the now toxic oceans because there isn't any place to put the waste. I personally am a firm believer in two things; Stupidity and Disease are two of the best population controls around. Now I don't think nature is some spirit or any crapola like that, I think it's an order in how things work. Not real sure where taxes fit into that but they do some where I'm sure.
I’m sure it would be nice to live forever and all but really? Do people think about stuff like this before they start investing a crap load of money into it? Feasibility, shouldn’t that be something we think about before doing research. I think what I’m trying to get at here is the fact that even extending a life 15 to 20 years can have serious long term effects on the ecology of the world. Believe it or not there is a reason we all die, I’m not 100% sure of what that is really but it’s there. Right on the tip if my brain in fact. I’m sure if I thought long and hard on it for a really long time I could come up with a really simple answer to that. But most of the time I have better things to do like pay a bill or two. Your smart enough to come up with the answer, think about the question please. I know I’ve been rather harsh in my views for a long time BUT I think I’m being reasonable on this one.
I personally don’t like the idea of being told when can reproduce, don’t care much for the idea of losing loved ones either but at the moment it’s a fact of life. I don’t care much for paying bills, and having to spend a rather large portion of my time at work. I still do it. Yeah, yeah I know I’m comparing every day life to dieing. Can’t help it it’s what I know. I don’t believe in suffering, end it, that’s fine with me. But again think about the question before you answer it. A little cause and effect isn’t a bad thing either.
I know this post wasn’t very coherent even for me. It turned into a bit more of a babble than I had intended so I pretty much cut it short.
Tomorrow’s Topic “Spankavision, wave of the future.” Bum ba bum bum.
